It’s estimated 2.5 million small businesses in the United States are owned and operated by veterans.
As ardent supporters of current service members and veterans for the freedoms that all of us enjoy today, Card Lock Company is pleased to honor National Veterans Small Business Week (NVSBW) – the annual event designed to empower veteran-owned businesses in the week leading up to Veterans Day – from Monday, November 2 to Friday, November 6.
National Veterans Small Business Week
Now in its seventh year, National Veterans Small Business Week is intended to connect and empower veteran-owned businesses in communities across the country by highlighting the breadth of resources they’re able to offer and the services consumers are able to attain from them. This year’s theme is “Resources in Your Community,” which is designed to bring greater awareness of such businesses in your town or city.
Card Lock’s Founders are Veterans from World War II
Card Lock Company’s founders are World War II combat veterans, and the business is still owned and operated by the same family that launched it some 70 years ago. To say that active military members and veterans are near and dear to our heart would be an understatement. In fact, we initially developed our signature “card key” for veteran facilities like social halls and VFWs so they could have a safe and secure place to gather after returning home from war. It’s a big part of the reason why we’re proud to raise awareness for and support events such as National Veterans Small Business Week.
